Pipe Fittings are the hardware adaptors connecting different pipes and fittings to form an overall piping system.

Pipe Fittings are highly versatile and helpful in:

  • changing the flow of fluids
  • connecting pipes with different diameters
  • stopping the flowing fluids
  • connecting various components of the pipelines

Hastelloy B3 is a nickel-molybdenum alloy containing 65% nickel and 30% molybdenum. The nickel-molybdenum elements are helpful in solid strengthening solutions, precipitation hardening, and deoxidation. On the other hand, chromium helps to protect against acidic and alkaline solutions.

Hastelloy B3 provides stability, durability, and toughness to the pipe fittings in extreme environments. Also, the alloy contains transition elements like tungsten, which exhibits high-temperature tolerance, corrosion resistance, and excellent weldability properties.

Mangalam Metal Corporation offers an exclusive range of Hastelloy B3 pipe fittings to our elite clients across the globe. We use high-quality raw materials and high-tech machinery to produce the Hastelloy products to meet national and international demands.

APPLICATIONS OF HASTELLOY B3 PIPE FITTINGS

Pipe Fittings are adapters, including elbows, tees, crosses, flanges, etc., made of different materials. They help to connect two or more pipes to channelize the flow of flowing fluids. Usually, we join these standard pipe fittings by forging or soldering methods.

Following are some primary Hastelloy B3 Pipe Fittings that we use in industrial premises:

  • Hastelloy B3 Tees

Tees are helpful to distribute or collect fluids from the running pipelines. They are available in two forms: Equal Tee and Reducing Tee.

  • Hastelloy B3 Couplings

These are useful for connecting pipelines. They are available in three forms: Full, Half, and Reducing Couplings.

  • Hastelloy B3 Cross

A cross has one inlet and three outlets or vice-versa. There are two types of crosses: equal cross and reducing cross.

Following are some industries and their applications where you will find our Hastelloy B3 Pipe Fittings installed:

  • Heat Exchangers
  • Chemical Storage Vessels
  • Regenerative Air Coolers
  • Pressure Vessels
  • Condensers
  • Hydraulic Heat Exchangers
  • Absorbers
  • Vacuum Systems
  • Dust Collectors
  • Air Coolers
  • Cooler Condensers
  • Pressure Vessels
  • Ethanol Storage Tanks
  • Demethanizers
  • Depropanizers
  • Shipyard Pressure Vessels
  • Heat Exchangers

KEY PROPERTIES OF HASTELLOY B3 PIPE FITTINGS
  • Hastelloy B3 contains more than 60% nickel content, which offers these pipe fittings good resistance against corrosion cracking and pitting.
  • Hastelloy B3 offers higher resistance to pure hydrochloric, hydrobromic, and sulphuric acids. Thus, efficiently protecting the pipe fittings in extreme environments.
  • During the heating generating process, Hastelloy B3 exhibits high-yield tensile strength up to 350 Mpa. Thus, making these pipe fittings attain maximum load without breaking or fracturing.
  • Hastelloy B3 alloy has superior thermal stability when compared with other Hastelloy elements. Thus, resulting in an easy fabrication process for these pipe fittings.
  • During thermal cycling operations, especially heat treatments, Hastelloy B3 Pipe Fittings maintain high malleability that helps them stay integrated without losing their strength.
  • However, Hastelloy B3 has comparatively less resistance to oxidizing agents than other Hastelloy elements. We do not recommend using the pipe fittings with ferric or cupric salts.
Quality Assurance

At Mangalam Metal Corporation, all products are subject to strict supervision at each production chain, right from purchasing the raw materials to dispatching products. All the processes undergo inspections for conformity to ASTM, ASME, MSS, and JIS codes and standards.
