Socket Weld Fittings is a type of fitting where we insert the pipes with a smaller diameter into the larger diameter pipes. Onwards, we weld around the outer circumference of the larger pipelines. That's why socket weld is known as 'fillet weld.' SW Fittings are generally serviceable for connecting small-bore pipes with diameter DN40 or smaller.

Nickel 200 is a solid-strengthened solution containing 99.6% nickel content. Alloy 200 has good electrical conductivity, low gas content, and high thermal properties.

Nickel 200 enhances strength, stability, and durability to the socket-weld fittings in industrial premises where operating temperature is below 600-Degree F. Nickel 200 also provides excellent resistance against caustic alkalic and dry fluorine solution.

Mangalam Metal Corporation offers an exclusive range of Nickel 200 Socket-Weld Fittings to our clients across the globe. We follow all legitimate procedures of ASME B.16.11 to produce Socket-Weld Forged Fittings.

APPLICATIONS OF SOCKET-WELD FORGED FITTINGS

Nickel 200 Socket Weld Fittings are a good choice where the diameter of the pipes is smaller. They provide higher leakage integrity and elevated structural strength to the overall piping systems. The followings are the advantages of socket weld fittings:

We can use them in place of threaded fittings. Thus, the risk of leakage problems is comparatively less. The installation cost is lesser than the butt-weld joints. It doesn’t require additional fittings, and we can assemble them efficiently.

The socket weld fittings require proper piping alignments. It cannot assemble in improper or temporary welding alignments.

We manufacture and produce all our Nickel 200 Socket Weld Fittings following B16.11. The B16. 11 covers material requirements, pressure-temperature ratings, dimensions, and markings to deliver them.

Following are some industries and their applications where you will find our Nickel 200 Socket-Weld Fittings installed.

HOW OPERATING TEMPERATURE MATTERS BEFORE SELECTING
SW-FITTINGS

There are various factors one must consider before manufacturing or ordering socket weld fittings. We must consider the size, pressure class, fitting type, shapes, etc., of the pipe fittings.

Socket-Weld Fittings are welded by using fillet-welding, where the smaller diameter pipe is inserted in the recessed area of the pipe fittings with a larger diameter.

While designing a socket-weld fittings piping system, one must keep in mind the operating temperature of the working area. It is because the pressure class of the product has a direct impact on the socket-weld pipe fittings.

For instance, 3000 pressure class elbow SW fittings will hold 3000 psi working pressure at an operating temperature of 100-Degree F. However, at 1000-Degree F, the working pressure of these elbow SW fittings will drop to 350 psi.

Thus, operating temperature plays a pivotal role while designing a piping system within the industrial premises.

Markings and Packing

Product packaging serves to protect the products inside. Mangalam Metal Corporation effectively ensures all the products are deliverable to our clients securely. In the case of exports, we follow all international standard protocols of packaging.

Often, we export them in wooden cases. We mark our products with Grades, Lot Numbers, Size, Degree, and our Trademark. We also make custom markings on the products as per the requirements of our clients.

Quality Assurance

At Mangalam Metal Corporation, all products are subject to strict supervision at each production chain, right from purchasing the raw materials to dispatching products. All the processes undergo inspections for conformity to ASTM, ASME, MSS, and JIS codes and standards.
