Hastelloy C22 Forged Bars should be forged from a maximum furnace temperature of 2050 Degree F (1120 Degree C) and should not be soaked for an overly long time at this temperature.

The room temperature strength of UNS N06022 Round Bar is substantially increased by precipitation heat treatment as the following data indicate. DIN 2.4602 Rods has yield tensile strength, creep, and rupture strength properties that are exceedingly high. The original inspiration for Hastelloy C22 Bars was a novel, high strength material used in steam lining for pipes carrying pressurized steam in power plants. The annealed condition of Hastelloy C22 Rods will give a slightly longer tool life.
